Andy has successfully worked in the development of brands and businesses through all channels of communication. He was the youngest Director of D’Arcy Masius in 1984, as Client Services Director and later as Deputy Managing Director. In 1997 he was appointed to the EU Board of DMB&B where he ran business development for the EMEA region, looking after global brands including Mars, McDonalds, Philipps, Texaco. After the Publicis acquisition of DMB&B, he joined its London Board to run accounts including Gallaher, Nobel Biocare and Ericsson worldwide. Since 2009 he is acting as an advisor for companies including Mark Warner Holidays, Sportyard, Bravo6 (chairman), SportStylist, Bilbary (non-exec director), Recipe (chairman).
John is currently serving as a Non-Executive Director/Chairman for Transmission, Oliver, FEED, Been There Done That (BTDT), AML and Octopus Group. He also provides consultancy services to The European Golf Tour and The Business Model Company. He previously was responsible for all of Publicis Specialised Agencies and Marketing Services (SAMS) from early 2003. He also was President and CEO of D’ Arcy Worldwide, President of the IMP (now ‘Arc’) and has client-side experience with Atlas Copco, Butlins UK and LRC International. John is the current Master of the Worshipful Company of Marketors, an Honorary President of the Institute of Sales Promotion and a Founder Member of the Direct Marketing Association of Great Britain. He has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Nottingham Trent University, where he is now Visiting Professor of Marketing.
